NOTE :
If you want to do private trekking, you are required to pay for 2 people. If you are a solo traveler or a couple and do not want, or are not able to pay the price for 2 people, we can arrange for you to join with other groups.
OPTIONAL: TUBE RAFTING
You can return to the village with what we call the ‘tubing’. The river will bring you back while sitting in the big tube. White water rafting is a fun and exciting way to end your tour through the jungle.
TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION
We at Brown Bamboo provide airport shuttle services to Bukit Lawang. To pick you up from the airport to Bukit Lawang, we rent a car for IDR 450,000. Once you arrive, our driver will wait for you at the arrival gate, showing your name for easy identification. If you are more than 3 people, transportation is free of charge. Travel time ranges from 4-5 hours with stops at the toilet or for lunch on the way.
Our tour guide picks you up, where you stay and after breakfast, start early at around 08.30 AM walking to the rainforest of Gunung Lauser National Park. In the forest we can see many kinds of plants, and we can also see orangutans and other types of animals such as monkeys, thomas leaf monkeys and other animals.
Our tour guide will take you deeper into Gunung Leuser National Park with a one-time stay at a jungle camp. You will have the opportunity to see various types of wildlife and medicinal plants in the forest because of the long trekking time.

We will take you deeper into Gunung Leuser National Park with a one-time stay at a jungle camp with the sounds of the rainforest to help wake you up from your slumber.
On this tour the opportunity to see higher wildlife such as Thomas leaf monkeys, long-tailed macaques and pigtails, flying squirrels, Sumatran peacocks, hornbills, wild orangutans and gibbons that might pass as we walk.

TOURISM TRAVEL DESCRIPTION:
DAY 1
Trekking will start at 09.00 am on the 1st day of the Brown Bamboo Guest Inn, Bukit Lawang and will end there no later than 15.00 pm on the 2nd day.
And when entering the National Park, it is expected to follow the directions of the tour guide by not feeding, touching wildlife, keeping a distance from animals and not leaving trash in the forest.
The hike will take about 2-3 hours every morning and afternoon with a lunch break. Then proceed to look for wildlife by passing beautiful places in the Sumatran rainforest such as hidden waterfalls and natural ponds.
DAY 2
Continue to day 2 which is the last day, after breakfast your guide will arrange the distance and travel time as well as plan activities according to your wishes.
If you want to walk another two to three hours so you can see wildlife you haven’t seen during the trip or you can also choose to relax at the campsite for a few hours.
we also provide lunch and fresh fruit in the forest, after eating you will walk to the river point where there are forest taxis waiting to take you back to your hotel in Bukit Lawang.
