Our tour guide picks you up, where you stay and after breakfast, start early at around 08.30 AM walking to the rainforest of Gunung Lauser National Park. In the forest we can see many kinds of plants, and we can also see orangutans and other types of animals such as monkeys, thomas leaf monkeys and other animals.
Our tour guide will take you deeper into Gunung Leuser National Park with a one-time stay at a jungle camp. You will have the opportunity to see various types of wildlife and medicinal plants in the forest because of the long trekking time.
The specialty of this tour is visiting the bat cave, night fishing, traditional barbeque, staying at two different places and seeing the tualang tree.
The Landak River which is located about 5 km from Bukit Lawang borders the Gunung Leuser National Park and provides an entrance to the National Park. Once you get there, you will feel relaxed because of the amazing atmosphere and beauty.
We also have a bungalow located near the river which you can use to relax in the middle of the night.
DESCRIPTION OF THE LANDAK RIVER TREKKING PACKAGE :
DAY 1
The first day we will pick you up at 08.00 am at your accommodation in Bukit Lawang to take you to the Bungalow on the sungai Landak which is your first overnight stay.
On the way you will pass rubber plantations and beautiful forests. About 30 minutes of walking, you will arrive at the bat cave and are expected to bring a flashlight. The guide will explain the amazing geological formations.
Then, you will walk about 30 minutes to the beautiful and peaceful area of the river hedgehog. At the sungai landak you will get lunch. In addition, you can swim in the Langgon river and relax. There you will also see a very unique and stunning Tualang tree which is the tallest tree in the world.
In the evening, the guide will prepare dinner.
DAY 2
After breakfast at Bungalow, you will start jungle trekking tour with us. We will guide you along the way.
First, you will hike for about 3-4 hours in the rainforest of Gunung Leuser National Park while looking for wild animals in the forest and you can see them in person if you are lucky. You can see a lot of wildlife such as gibbons, langurs, squirrels, peacocks, monkeys and other animals.
During your lunch break, you will have time to rest and relax near rivers, waterfalls and other amazing places. And in the afternoon you will hike for about 3 hours to reach the river campsite where you will spend the night and have dinner while listening to the magical sounds of the forest.
DAY 3
After breakfast you will continue the tour for approximately 3 hours. Then stop for lunch near the river where you will return to Bukit Lawang by walking along the Bahorok river. You will sit on the big tube, slide into the river and enjoy the stunning views.
When you are back in Bukit Lawang, we will drop you off at the hotel where our tour company and services end. THANK YOU.

NOTE :
If you want to do private trekking, you are required to pay for 3 people. If you are a solo traveler or a couple and do not want, or are not able to pay the price for 3 people, we can arrange for you to join with other groups.
OPTIONAL : TUBE RAFTING
You can return to the village with what we call the ‘tubing’. The river will bring you back while sitting in the big tube. White water rafting is a fun and exciting way to end your tour through the jungle. For tubing, there is an additional fee of €10.
